Dr. Wang is a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon. He began his interest in medicine during his undergraduate studies at Stanford University where he majored in Biology and would go on to graduate with honors for his senior thesis in orthopaedic surgery. After receiving his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Wang completed his orthopaedic surgery residency training at the Stanford University Hospital and Clinics. While at Stanford, he cultivated an interest in the complexities of the spine which propelled him to pursue a fellowship in spine surgery at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute where he was trained in all aspects of spinal surgery, including degenerative conditions, scoliosis, as well as cutting edge techniques such as motion preservation and minimally invasive procedures.
Dr. Wang offers comprehensive treatment of spinal disorders in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He specializes in both operative and non-operative spine care treatments. Dr. Wang is dedicated to working together with his patients to identify the source of their pain and to find the least invasive treatment that works for them.
Dr. Wang has been committed to furthering the education of his patients as well as his peers in the field of spinal surgery. His research in orthopaedic and spinal surgery has been awarded with international publication in peer-reviewed journals as well as invitations to lecture at both the annual meetings of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society.
