John Faryna, MD is a Board Eligible, Fellowship Trained, Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Spine Surgeon who has been practicing with the Spine Institute of Arizona since 2016.
Dr. Faryna specializes in advanced, minimally invasive techniques to treat neurologic and arthritic diseases of the spine. His training began at the University of Florida where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Microbiology and Cell Science. Dr. Faryna continued his education attending medical school at the University of Florida where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He continued his education at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN where he developed his passion for treating diseases of the spine, also completing a senior orthopedic trauma rotation at the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Dr. Faryna completed his spine fellowship training at the Spine Institute of Arizona, working as part of a comprehensive spine care team, dedicated to proving the valley area with exceptional, compassionate spine care.
At the Spine Institute of Arizona, Dr. Faryna can continue his passion for education and advancement of spine surgery learned at the Mayo Clinic through his participation in the spine fellowship program, lecturing in the community and across the country, as well as providing continuing education to our hospital nursing staff.
In his free time Dr. Faryna enjoys cooking, studying current and future aerospace technologies, and exploring the vast Arizona back woods hiking and camping in the wondrous Arizona dark skies.
